Remapping the Očhéti Šakówiŋ Oyáte

Remapping the Očhéti Šakówiŋ Oyáte: Orature as Deep Mapping aims to record Očhéti Šakówiŋ Oyáte (O.S.) community members’ and tribal citizens’ storytelling about places of historical, cultural, or political importance through video and audio. The project seeks to create a resource for Lakota- and Dakota-language learning, knowledge-sharing, and community-building that can migrate among communities.
