Playshop

With the right technology at your fingertips, how might you transform your research and teaching? Do you have a new project in mind that might benefit from a technology consultation? The Dean of Arts and Humanities, Arts and Humanities Research Computing (DARTH), and the Academic Technology Group (ATG) invite you to a PlayShop and lunch on May 20th, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm, the Plimpton Room, Barker 133. Ideas don’t need to be polished, and you need no previous technology experience. Just bring your thoughts and a willingness to explore. Sign up and send us a brief statement of your tentative concept or idea. Academic and research technology staff will use your ideas and questions to set the agenda for hands-on activities and exploration during the PlayShop. We will provide advice and feedback to help you make a game plan both for the use or development of digital techniques in your research and teaching as well as suggestions for proposals to the new Lasky-Barajas Fund for Digital Innovation. We encourage fresh initiatives from faculty who are curious about digital techniques but have hesitated to get involved in the past.
